Bryn Mawr Student Organizations’ Leadership Workshop SUCCESS.

Photo Cred: Amelia Lee Zhi Yi

On Saturday, September 3rd and Sunday, September 4th, the Self Government Association organized 3 hour Leadership Workshops which were attended by 220 student leaders. This was the first time such an event was ever held. In years past, student groups seeking SGA funding were only required to attend a budget workshop. This year, the SGA Executive Board had expanded this experience into a networking, leadership development and information gathering opportunity. In addition to an updated budgeting presentation and a presentation on “Bryn Mawr Club basics”, student leaders participated in a leadership development exercise.

Attendees felt that the workshop was helpful and enjoyed the opportunity to meet fellow student leaders. The SGA Executive Board’11-’12 is proud that the spirit of self governance is thriving and hopes that this sort of workshop will become a new tradition.
